Teeth Whitening: Over The Counter Products From Boots Etc?

Q: I would like to get my teeth whitened but cannot afford professional dental fees at around £300.

I am aware that places like Boots offer DIY Teeth Whitening Products which are cheaper-but do they really work?

Anyone tried any of these? If so was it any good?
