What is creation? Human action that exists from the moment the man began to exist. The creation is a set of ideas and their appearance depends on the way we live. It is the story of human freedom, based on the endless imagination.
How are the design of the modern age, the artist's inspiration and what freedom means today? It was technologically advanced, we are experiencing is shared between people and machines that exist together. Computers and electronics, the most of the devices only occasionally, are symbols of modern times and icons of human achievement. Design infiltrates every aspect of our lives as a product for sale. Sometimes, however, the question is about the same in the context of social life, the political or ecological, because today each of us has an opportunity to assess the products created for the masses by the artist and designers. Among a lot of brand names in the design area is one of the more interesting, more unique, the most independent and best known – Philippe Starck.
Born in 1949 in Paris. His father was an aeronautical engineer and mother was a painter. Both parents creative than a great influence on the personality of young Philippe. After graduating from private school of the Ecole Nissim de Camondo, in Paris and in 1968, established his first company specialized in inflatable objects. Year later became artistic director of Pierre Cardin. Next several years is working in the U.S. France and the creation of residential and commercial, including New York Royalton 'or clubs' Paris 'bleu The main ". and' Les-Baines Douches. In 1979 he founded his business next Starck Product 'and 3 years later, privet designed apartment in the Elysee Palace by French President François Mitterrand. It was the turn point in his career. Then came quickly Commissions of France, as Cafe 'costs' in Paris and abroad in Tokyo as the Cafe 'Manin' or the following "La Flamme, construction Asahi brewery and Hotel 'Royalton in New York. Its architecture and interiors are dominated by a mixture of exotic and unreal vision. Manipulate combination acute, straight and curved lines, soft shapes. His palette of colors is also astounding. Clean, clear tones, rich hues contrasting with flowers.
I do not design houses, I help people to design them. "P. Starck
As creator Starck is unlimited and unclassified in their ideas. His range of interests is at the same time, the space in which we live as the property we're using. Starck's work could be the construction or room, or ship furniture, lamp or toothbrush, clothing or electronics. His artistic philosophy gives the objects to improve their aesthetics and quality living.
"In all my life, I never talk about design and architecture, I always speak of our lives: our struggle our pain, our difficulties, our dreams, our vision, our dream. "P. Starck
Collaborated with most major global brands as Flos, Alessi, Hansgrohe, Microsoft, Virgin, among many, but as an independent creator who is also a part of their company, products like the idea of 'Good', the organic food company or international developers, 'Yoo society. The activity Social Starck is such an important part of its advertising as its artistic act. It promotes healthy lifestyle, embodied the aesthetic solutions for their product, the debate behavior and ecology in eco-materials and freedom as the main destination of mankind. This simple philosophy is supported by his vegetarianism, the ecological importance for neutral materials such as plastic, for example, their organic enterprises, their battles for the low price of their products and of course its purist, of course, design.
"I am not a city man. I'm not a fashion victim. I live mainly on my oyster farm in southwestern France, in a small island with 12 houses and no cars, electricity or water. It's a hard life, a life very basic. "P. Starck
Despite their ecological concerns other Starck is the fascination of high technology and human intelligence. Both factors have a strong influence on its design not only in the case of high-tech items, but also in relation to creating furniture, clothing or household objects. Each of the parts of objects by Starck infiltrate imaginative character, including Eastern and chic look sexy. But, true gift of his dreams is present in its interior design achievements. Feature common to most of the interiors is the simplicity in providing the extravagant, fantastic objects as they come from dreams or the magical world. Its design has something magical world and some poetry, but basic principles are clarity and light based on the formula "less is more '
"My work is to bring philosophy to maintain the direction, to guard the temple. These travelers will see the world is small, fragile, alone. P. Starck
Creativity and innovation by Starck was appreciated by many cultural organizations, public and education, was honored by Harvard Design Excellence Award (USA, 1997), Pratt Institute Black Alumni Award (USA, 2001), Five Star Diamond Award as World's Best Designer (2005), Madrid Creativity Award (2006), CNBC International Property Awards Best Interior Design (2008), The Fashion Group International, Inc. honors Philippe Starck, Night of Stars (2008), for example, but what is central to their work is that their large objects are made of fantasy and fun in our lives.
"No I created a character. … When someone asks me something, I answer. I work. I am a worker. I work at five in the morning. … So thank you very much, have created the character, this public image called "Starck"-no. It is you who need the image, not me. "P. Starck
