Best Electric Tooth Brush

Q: My husband and I each want to try an electric tooth brush for the first time…what kinds do you like, where can you buy them, and how much are they?
A: keep in mind that a regualr tooth brush is just as effective as an electric one and is many times less expensie. There is no real evidence that an electric tooth brush is any better other than what is released by the makers of the electric brush. the only thing plus side independent research shows is short lived. That is that initially people are motivated to brush with thier new electric brush and do so, but once that motivation goes away people slack. Also many people dont replace the heads as often as they should be.
I personally would tell you to save you money. Do not be fool by the sonic logo. In dentistry we use ultrasonic cleaners, these cleaners work at a frequency that requires a permit ( a dental or hygienge license ) to use, the reason is the frequency that the ultrasonic cleaner work at can drill in to a tooth if not used correctly. Many of the Electric Tooth Brushes will slap on sonic on their brushes because its sounds like the ultra sonic cleaner at the dental office but they are not the same thing. the level of sound emitted those tooth brushes is meaningless.
