When he first arrived about toothpastes, they were simply instructed to only cleaning the teeth – probably just to wash the dinner tonight. As time passed and with innovations in science and technology, toothpastes are now with a face different. Toothpastes are made to address the solutions to many different dental problems that people face. Excess Abrasives in a toothpaste also can make teeth sensitive to hot food, cold and sweet. It is advisable to choose a toothpaste that is very abrasive, which is abrasive or enough to remove plaque and stains from the teeth, but do not remove the teeth enamel.
Apart from toothpastes that contain fluoride, there are many other types out in the market that offer different solutions to dental problems. It is for the person to consult your family Dentist to find out what kind of toothpaste best suit their needs. Some types of toothpaste are listed below:
1. Money toothpaste
Contrary to the belief popular, Whitening Toothpaste does not increase the whiteness of teeth. What they do, rather, it pulls the teeth stains cling to what the natural whiteness of the teeth more evident. Money toothpaste, however, contain harsh abrasives. These toothpastes strip the enamel on teeth over time, leaving the interior of the yellow dentin layer to show through. This results in having yellow teeth instead of white and make them sensitive, and also in the process. It is recommended that you use one a whitening toothpaste containing no harsh abrasives but uses gentler methods for removing stains from teeth.
2. Pain in the mouth (thrush) Toothpaste
Toothpastes sore mouth are free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate). SLS is a detergent in toothpaste that promotes canker painful. Canker sores are small oral ulcers that nearly twenty percent of the population suffers.
Tooth sensitivity is presented as a temporary tooth discomfort after eating hot or cold foods or sweets. This occurs when the gums recede or when the tooth enamel is stripped away. These conditions leave the dentin layer exposed. The nerves in the dentin layer are caused by pressure, hot and cold stimuli stimuli that cause pain and discomfort for the individual. Toothpastes designed for sensitive teeth contain potassium nitrate, which numbs the nerves in the dentin layer so would not get easily excited.
4. Toothpaste for Gum Disease
There are several products on the market today, which show significantly improve the dental condition of those suffering from bleeding gums caused by periodontal disease. These products, however, contain irritating SLS. Fortunately, there are some products now available on the market that prevent and alleviate gum disease without using artificial ingredients and irritants, such as SLS. Ask your dentist about them.
Finally, some degree of personal preference should also be considered. Choose a toothpaste that knows and feels better. It is also advisable to select a product approved by the American Dental Association. Although these products may safe and effective, its results have not been evaluated or approved by the ADA.
