The Smile Brite Comp. promotes their toothpaste as the best cavity fighting, they chose 200 12yr olds at random half used Crest, N=100 for each sample.
1.What is the hypothesis that Smile Brite is promoting? My answer: It is promoting if its toothpaste is the better cavity fighting than Crest
A: 2. I would probably measure the mean number of cavities each group experienced.
3. The null hypothesis is always a statement of no difference. In this case, the null hypothesis is that Smile Brite is no more effective at preventing cavities than Crest.
