Sonicare Toothbrush Charger
Sonicare battery daily load or when it is finished?
Q: The instructions say it is supposed to leave the toothbrush on the charger when not in use, but will be held a charge for a week. However, my boyfriend says that the type of battery you use Sonicare, nickel-cadmium is the type that is supposed to execute completely before recharging to prolong his life. Anyone have any information?
A: Your boyfriend is correct. I have a Sonicare and I have always recharged only once or twice a week. To date, that lasted almost 6 years without a battery change. Sometimes NiCD batteries die for flip polarity when fully discharged. I'd recommend twice weekly routine to avoid that. According to the Sonicare website, it takes approximately 15 hours to fully recharge. Also, save energy / go green when you disconnect from the cradle / charger into the means of payment.
